Gain inspiration and skills - in 2 days!
Becoming a better artist
Structure and price of the course
The course is delivered by Louise Perfect . Each course takes place over two days Wednesday-Thursday (dates below). Each day starts at 10am and finishes around 4:30pm with a break for lunch. Each course is likely to have a range of experienced and less experienced artists but as the class sizes are so small the content can be tailored to each participant and plenty of time given individually. Courses are friendly and informal with a good mix of time to paint and time for discussion. By the end of the course you will have new skills and new ways of thinking about your art.
The price for the course, including refreshments, documentation and the paintings produced by you during the course is
€230 per person

Two days of tuition based around individual abilities and desired outcomes. For example, a new artist might want to learn how to mix and apply paint, the use of different brushes and use of colour while a more experienced artist will want to expand their range of techniques and confront new challenges to produce more sophisticated work.
We provide easels, paint and common consumables (eg; tape) as well as a selection of different papers for you to try and materials necessary for some of the techniques taught.
A light, working lunch (we use the time to review and discuss) is provided each day. Water is provided throughout the day and there are coffee breaks in both morning and afternoon. Please advise any allergies or dietary requirements in the Special Requests section of the booking form.
A copy of all handouts and worksheets used during the course is yours to take away.
At the end of the course your favourite image will be mounted and given to you to take away.
You are responsible for your own travel costs and means of travel to our base. We strongly suggest use of a car as there is no nearby public transport – this is rural France! There is ample parking on site or you can be dropped off as you wish. Details of how to locate us are to be found on the Contact or Find us page.
No accommodation is included or available on site. This is a non-residential course. We have put together a page of contacts and information providers who can provide lists of local accommodation or make bookings as well as some gites and guest houses, including some we know to be wheelchair accessible.
Please bring your own brushes and a pad or selection of watercolour or acrylic paper (12 sheets is enough). You can bring your own paints if you have a favourite brand though good quality paints are provided.
